W.O.E. 3 Patch Pack Hook & Loop
By popular demand, we now have W.O.E. patches!
Our W.O.E. 3 Patch Pack Hook & Loop includes three unique designs referencing key aspects of our “Use Your Tools” ethos. Hook and loop-backed patches have special significance in the military and law enforcement communities, being used in an official capacity to show belonging within an organization as well as for morale, with many units creating special patches featuring unique artwork more or less just for fun. Patches are also special for the EDC community, used to decorate fancy backpacks and expensive jackets. We don’t judge.
In creating these designs, we worked closely with our friend and talented artist Matt Ludvigson to capture our community’s special sauce with a new set of W.O.E. artwork. Matt’s grandfather served with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II, meaning espionage is in his blood.
These embroidered patches include durable hook backing for easy attachment to backpacks, apparel, plate carriers, and other EDC items. Each pack includes all three of the following designs:
W.O.E. Arabic Dial:
Inspired by the Arabic Seiko that galvanized our love for horology, the W.O.E. Arabic patch incorporates traditional Arabic indices in white over a black background with red WOE text at the center, providing a subtle indicator of inclusion in our community. If you know, you know.
W.O.E. Sketchy Dudes:
Many members of our community can be described as “sketchy”. Some are good sketchy, some are bad sketchy, but they are sketchy nonetheless. Our W.O.E. Sketchy Dudes patch highlights all of those (including Breitling owners) who fall under this designation. Also meant to honor the classic Defender, a vehicle closely linked to our community, this patch is executed in the established green color scheme with a novel Spearhead arrow and overt “Watches of Espionage” text.
Glomar Explorer:
With the same name as our hook and loop watch strap, the Glomar Explorer patch takes inspiration from patches created for crewmembers aboard the USNS Hughes Glomar Explorer, a deep-sea drillship platform that was used by the CIA to recover a Soviet submarine K-129 in the Pacific Ocean in 1974. Playing off of the trident motif and colors from a vintage patch, this design celebrates the history of maritime espionage while serving as an “if you know, you know” nod to our community.
* Watch, coins, and other items are not included.
