We didn’t reinvent the wheel here; they are hats. That said, this is the ultimate “if you know, you know,” and if someone recognizes you wearing this hat, you are sure to have a new friend.
Available in three colors with the W.O.E. Spearhead — khaki, black, and OD Green, as well as a new navy blue version with our Glomar Explorer insignia — our dad hat features high-quality embroidery on the front. We like our branding subtle.
The W.O.E. Spearhead is based on the insignia originally developed by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) and used by modern-day intelligence and SpecOps units. Our version incorporates an hourglass into the base, representing our community’s connection to time and horology.
The W.O.E. Glomar Explorer insignia takes inspiration from patches created for crewmembers aboard the USNS Hughes Glomar Explorer, a deep-sea drillship platform that was used by the CIA to recover a Soviet submarine K-129 in the Pacific Ocean in 1974.
Our hats are produced in Asia and customized in the United States. We would love to sell American-made hats, but unfortunately, the industry isn’t where it needs to be.
