Safari Shell Cordovan Single-Pass Strap
Handcrafted in the United States, the Shell Cordovan Single-Pass combines the functionality of a pull-through strap with the refined appearance and extreme durability only Horween Shell Cordovan leather can provide. Production is extremely limited and this is one of our most premium straps.

Shell Cordovan is the crown jewel of equine leathers, made from an inner layer of horsehide and named for Cordoba, Spain where the material was historically produced. For the Safari strap, we looked to Horween Leather Company in Chicago, a historic tannery known for producing some of the finest Shell Cordovan in the world. Each strap is then handcrafted in the United States in small batches by skilled artisans while being available in two colors, Black and Oxblood.
The Safari Shell Cordovan Single-Pass Strap is intended for refined field watches and vintage timepieces. In addition to being highly durable and resistant to stretch, Shell Cordovan also offers a completely smooth and glossy outer texture. The Safari Shell Cordovan Single-Pass leverages a pair of color-matched floating Shell Cordovan keepers for an elevated appearance and a custom fit.
With subtlety as a core ethos, the W.O.E. Spearhead motif is stamped near the unsigned stainless steel buckle where it will typically be covered by the keepers for an IYKYK effect. On the reverse side, each strap has a Horween Shell Cordovan stamp asserting the material’s US-made status.
Like a great watch, the strap is still a tool, made to be used and to last. The patina that will develop on the Shell Cordovan after use is just a bonus. Measuring approximately 1.4 mm thick, these handmade straps will work on the vast majority of watches, though some may require curved/bent spring bars.
The Shell Cordovan Single-Pass Strap tail isn't meant to be folded like other single-pass straps. Those with larger wrists should position the watch head closer to the buckle end and those with smaller wrists should position it closer to the holes to ensure the right amount of strap tail. Please take care installing the strap as the leather will initially scuff. See the figure below.
This strap is designed to fit wrists up to 7.5 in (19.1 cm). Like virtually all leather straps, we do not recommend wearing the Shell Cordovan Single-Pass strap in the water.
